Description of the event: In the context of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM 2022), we invite Club members, student unions and other student groups to join this online workshop to reflect on the importance of bystander intervention to create a culture of care and consent on campus. Paola Quiros (she/her), an Educator with the SVSPO, will facilitate the discussion on identifying potentially harmful situations and implementing actionable steps to move from a passive to an active bystander. In this workshop, we will discuss topics pertaining to sexual violence that may bring up difficult feelings. This workshop will be interactive, but please participate in ways that support your well-being and learning.
