2019 SFU Public Square Community Summit Volunteer

SFU Public Square 2019 Community Summit
Though central to our lives as informed citizens, never before has information been under a greater threat than by the rampant spread of disinformation that we see today. Living in a time people are describing as the era of 'post-truth', the ability to distinguish between facts, misleading statements, and lies is vital for a democratic society to thrive. 'How did it get to this point, and how do we move forward?' are questions that we seek to answer at SFU Public Square's 2019 Communty Summit: 'Confronting the Disinformation Age'. We are looking for enthusiastic, positive, and reliable volnteers to help out at our various events from April 10th to the 18th. This is an opportunity to engage with and gain knowledge of the issues at hand. For more information, please visit: http://www.sfu.ca/publicsquare/community-summit/2019-community-summit.html
