This survey asks people questions about who they would pick for their proxy if they could choose a proxy of their choice for our study on remote telepresence in classrooms. The study explores how Google Glass can be used to support remote viewing and participation. In a nutshell, a âproxyâ or âsurrogateâ attends a class on behalf of a student and streams the class to the student remotely via Google Glass.

In the next set of questions, imagine that you are responsible for selecting someone to attend class in your place when you cannot. For example, you might be home sick or unable to attend class because you are traveling. The person you send will be known as your proxy. Your proxy will send you a realtime video stream of what they see by wearing a camera, and perform bodily interactions with the instructor and your classmates on your behalf and at your direction.
