SFU and IIT Bombay are excited to be collaborating on a joint research workshop in the area of quantum science and technologies. The virtual workshop will take place in mid-May (May 17-19 PST, May 18-19 IST) and bring together faculty members to share their research related to the science of engineered quantum systems and their novel technological applications (including computing, communication, simulation, sensing, etc). The workshop aims to be a platform for faculties from both institutes to introduce their research, build connections, and find synergies for potential collaborations between IIT Bombay and SFU. This is also an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to exchange research experiences, and explore studying, exchange, and research opportunities abroad through the international partnership. The workshop will include two Seminar Sessions (May 17 evening & 19 morning PST, May 18 morning & 19 evening IST), each of which, will be a series of 15 minutes talks delivered on Zoom. Additionally, an interactive Poster Session is scheduled on May 18 (morning PST, evening IST) on the virtual platform Gather Town. The Poster Session will be a chance for attendees to socialize without breaking the social-distancing rule, and for students to showcase their research results.
***Please note the following dates and times for the seminars and poster session: Day 1 Seminar: Monday, May 17, 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm PST; Poster Session: Tuesday, May 18, 7:30 am – 9:30 am PST; Day 2 Seminar: Wednesday, May 19, 7:30 am to 9:35 am PST
